Product Details

Mexican tile is nothing more than baked clay. The clay that is used is found in the rivers and tributaries of Saltillo and Monterrey, Mexico, hence the name Saltillo. The terms Mexican tile and Saltillo tile are interchangeable and for our purpose are to be considered the same material. One must realize that Mexican tile is made with forms and molds that are not perfect. For this reason the shape of these tiles may not all be the same size. Since Mexican tile is made of clay, you will also find that it contains surface imperfections such as cracks, pits and bumps. This is to be considered part of its rustic nature. Mexican tile is a wonderful matrial and if proerly installed and maintained will add a rustic as well as an old world beauty to any home or building. This book covers from installation to cleaning to maintaining and sealing. TABLE OF CONTENTS What is Mexican and Saltillo Tile?
