At Surfaces 2006, Spanish tile manufacturers will present their newest wares, their technological savvy and their world-class design sense. The premier event for the world's floor-covering professionals, Surfaces exhibits will be held February 1-3 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas. Tile of Spain branded manufacturers will showcase designs that appeal to a broad audience, especially for the minimalist, the naturalist and those who like a little more fanciful design.

"Spanish tile manufacturers are always striving to be on the cutting edge of design and technology," said Javier Soriano, Director of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion for ASCER. "Shows like Surfaces give the Tile of Spain branded manufacturers the perfect venue to show their savvy."

Tile of Spain manufacturers will encompass about 5,000 square feet of exhibition space in Hall C. Exhibitors include: ADEX, Alcalagres, Ceramicas Del Foix, EMAC Complementos, Pamesa, Peronda, Peris Y Cia, Porcelanosa, Roca and Tau.

ADEX will present the Urban series with its diamond and taco design available in blanco, beige, celery, avacado and amarillo. The white bodied tile meets ANSI specifications and is a good solution for bath, kitchen, interior living spaces and the swimming pool. The series offers 27 types of tacos, 3 forms in 9 colors, along with hand painted listelos and reliefs.

The Lifestone collection from Alcalagres-Estilya offers a practical natural look in wall and floor coverings. It is available in 12-by-24- and 18-by-18-inch formats and two colors, Lifestone Arena and Lifestone Tobaco. 12-by-12-inch meshed mosaics are available along with a line of decorative complements and accents.

Perfect for the minimalist and modernist is IKOM-Compacto Pedra from Pamesa. The through-body porcelain tile presents a cement look with all of the benefits of tile. It is available in 12-by-12-, 16-by-16- and 20-by-20-inch formats. Five colors are offered: gris, negro, blanco, arena, noce and bamboo. Meshed complementary tiles as well as bullnose complements are available. The tile comes in polished porcelain stoneware and natural finished stoneware. This tile will work in the bath, kitchen, interior and exterior, and for facades.

The Museum collection from Peronda is a polished, rectified porcelain tile with a crystal effect finish. The newest series in the collection, Zar, is available in 17.5-by-17.5-inch format. Listelos and borders are available too. The tile comes in polished porcelain stoneware and enameled porcelain stoneware. Zar is ideal for interior applications.

Porcelanosa continues to refine the wood-look with the Woodtec series. It is part of the Roble Antico collection. The enameled stoneware is available in antico, honey, natural, cognac, vecchio, tobacco, legno selecto, beech natural and maple finishes. They offer a complete line of compatible and decorative tiles such as Shangai Antracite and Listel Inox by L'Antic Colonial. Anti-slip finishes are available in some series allowing for outdoor installation.

The series, Natural Fuego, is the newest addition to Roca's very popular Rock & Rock collection. The natural finished porcelain stoneware is frost-resistant and can be used on facades, exterior and interior spaces and the bath. The 13-by-21.25-inch format tile comes in anthracite, bamboo, fuego and graphito. Decorative meshed mosaics, mesh link, mesh brick and listels are offered as compliments to the series.

Hudson, from the TAU Empire collection, is a through-body porcelain inspired by the Saturnia stone. The enameled porcelain stoneware features natural shade variations in every piece. Tau makes this series in 18-by-18- and 24-by-24-inch formats. Colors: arena, marfil, gold and noce.
