Interceramic has announced the opening of its newest manufacturing facility, Plant 8, in Chihuahua, Mexico. This new facility increases the company's production capacity by 25 percent, bringing current total manufacturing capacity to 400 million square feet. The plant, which represents an investment of $30 million, was design by the company's engineers in collaboration with Sacmi, a manufacturer of machinery for the manufacturing of ceramic tile. The technologically advanced facility features extensive automation, including laser operated robots to handle the finished product.
