The Ceramic Tile Center of the Italian Trade Commission in New York is pleased to announce the re-launch of their popular website,www.italytile.com. With over 2 millions visitors per year, the site, which is dedicated to Italian ceramic tile in the US market, serves as a clearinghouse for information on the industry as well as a major link between Italian manufacturers and American distributors, importers, retailers, architects, designers and consumers. The redesign facilitates the navigation of the website and offers helpful tools including an online tile search, downloadable industry publications and recent news/press clippings.
The new overall look of the site was designed to be consistent with the Italian Trade Commission's partner links,www.italtrade.com, the Made In Italy Official Portal, andwww.ice.gov.it. The home page includes articles on recent initiatives, new products and top trends. Located on the right-hand side of the page is a monthly calendar of events, a way to keep industry professionals in the know about the top tradeshows, seminars and conferences to attend for Ceramic Tiles of Italy.
The most popular function of the site is the online Tile Search, a comprehensive and searchable directory of over 200 Italian manufacturers. It allows users to find a specific tile type or manufacturer, as well as their distributors in the US. Users can also link to the manufacturers' websites to read company profiles and view online catalogues. The interactive site allows dealers and manufacturers to click on a link on the homepage and personally update their listings.
Www.italytile.comincludes a number of downloadable industry publications including: TileNews, the Ceramic Tile Center's newsletter, The Tile Dictionary, Talking About Tiles and links to other industry publications produced by Assopiastrelle, the Association of Italian Ceramic Tile and Refractory Manufacturers. Visitors to the site can request to receive printed versions of these publications as well as other materials such as the Ceramic Tiles of Italy New Products CD and information on tradeshows and events.
A News/Press area has been added to the website. It features current press releases as well as a selection of clips from leading consumer and trade magazines. Other options include a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section, a tutorial on the history of Italian tiles and helpful links to partner associations.
The site is also part of the Ceramic Tiles of Italy industry portal,www.italiantiles.com, which launched in 2005. The portal also links towww.italiatiles.com, the official website of Assopiastrelle andwww.s-tiles.it, a tool that tracks the Italian tile industry's commitment to sustainable design. The three sites offer visitors a complete guide to all the elements that make up the Italian tile industry.
