More than 9,000 sq. ft. of VitrA’s Colorline Series tile was installed recently in a Phoenix, Ariz., high school as part of the school board’s effort in deterring the recent rise in graffiti.
Camelback High School’s “Phase I” renovation and expansion project, part of a larger effort of accommodating the district’s population growth, includes two, three-story buildings.
According to VitrA, the 1” x 1” mosaic tiles not only allowed designers to “soften and complement the overall design motif of the school’s lavatories, but helped the district stay within its predetermined budget in completing the project.
Vitra’s tiles have also been specified for new and upcoming phases of construction on campus. A new library building and classrooms will feature the Colorline series with varying color mix combinations.
