A Call for Presentations has been issued for the StonExpo
2008 Conference Program, scheduled to take place October 15-18, 2008 at the
Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Proposals are being
accepted for course offerings to accommodate all experience levels, enabling
stone industry professionals to advance their businesses and increase profits.
The program includes three-hour workshops on Wednesday, October 15 and
75-minute seminars on Thursday, October 16 – Saturday, October 18.
All proposals should fall under one
of the following educational tracks - Business Management, Building/Design,
Fabrication/Installation, Sales/Marketing, Care/Maintenance and Restoration.
The primary audience of the educational program includes
fabricators/installers, distributors/retailers, architects/engineers, designers
and kitchen and bath dealers.
Interested presenters should have
extensive experience in their field of expertise and a strong desire to make an
impact on the stone industry by sharing best practices, industry knowledge and
the latest industry trends. Product pitches and niche-focused topics relevant
to a small audience will not be accepted. Speakers must be able to meet
deadline requirements. No travel or hotel expenses paid to exhibitors,
association members, consultants and press.

forms can also be mailed to Attn: Carol Wilkins, 6191 N. State Highway 161,
Ste. 500, Irving, TX 75038. Submissions must be submitted by Friday, January
18, 2008.
Proposals will be reviewed by
Hanley Wood and the StonExpo Education Committee. Final selections will be made
in April 2008.
