The three-story, five-room bungalows feature natural granite and ceramic tiles throughout.

Coral Island’s 21 new waterfront villas were designed specifically to showcase Singapore’s new standards of exclusivity, luxury and privacy.

Beginning in 2002, Sentosa Island, just off the coast of Singapore, embarked on a long-term plan to rejuvenate itself and its Southern Island friends to create a more memorable experience for its visitors. Now nearing its final phase, the Sentosa Cove project is poised to become one of Asia’s most exclusive and coveted oceanfront residential communities.

When complete, Sentosa Island and its southern neighbors will boast 10,000 residents in 2,500 custom-built luxury homes, as well as boating marina’s for 240 yachts, a commercial area known as the Quayside Collection, and some additional commercial units. It marks the first time that non-Singaporean residents can purchase landed property in Singapore. This luxurious new waterfront development is just a 10-minute drive to downtown Singapore and a 20-minute drive to Changi International Airport.

LATICRETE 325 Premium Thin-Set Mortar was specified for installing the interior limestone and pool tiles in all 21 bungalows.

The development of Sentosa Island and its surrounding islands is directly tied to the new HarbourFront Development project launched across the cove on the mainland, a landmark development that consists of offices, cruise and ferry terminals, Singapore’s only cableway system, a multi-concept entertainment hub, as well as Singapore’s largest retail and lifestyle mall. Located on prime waterfront land overlooking Sentosa Island and the sea, the entire HarbourFront Development is Singapore’s new world-class waterfront business district.

Just across the way, inspired by its own beautiful, lush environment, Coral Island is the first integrated bungalow development on the new waterfront district of Sentosa Cove. Coral Island, designed specifically to meet the tastes and requirements of those demanding nothing but the very best, offers 21 new waterfront villas that showcase new standards of exclusivity, luxury and privacy. Not to mention beautiful ocean views and the skyline of Singapore hovering just above.

Developed by Ho Bee (Sentosa) Pte Ltd and built by Hexacon Construction Pte Ltd, each three-story, detached villa offers views of the manmade waterway and the sea. Each has natural granite entranceways and limestone flooring installed with LATICRETE® tile and stone installation products. In addition, each bungalow features a gorgeous infinity edge pool off its back terrace, also installed with LATICRETE products.

For the large-format natural granite tiles installed as the entranceway for each villa, Hexacon Construction utilized LATICRETE® 3810 Thin-Set Mortar Admix mixed with LATICRETE 211 Powder for a high-strength adhesive that is both shock and thermal resistant.

To install all the interior limestone and pool tiles at the 21 bungalows, the specification called for LATICRETE 325 Premium Thin-Set Mortar, a high-performance, bagged cementitious powder to be mixed with water to install tile or stone with the thin-set method.

The back terrace of each bungalow features an infinity edge pool overlooking the marina.

Depending on the size of the grout joint, the majority of the grouting, both inside and out, was accomplished utilizing LATICRETE 1600 Sanded Grout, with a small percentage of LATICRETE 1500 Unsanded Grout used throughout.

Located just off the Southwestern tip of Singapore, the new Sentosa Cove project, in combination with the aggressive HarbourFront Development, has created a special distinction for the area, a one-stop tourist destination with a unique blend of leisure and recreational activities including sea sports, golf courses, unlimited shopping, restaurants, resorts and pristine beaches.

And for the select few, it can all be taken in from the comforts of home. Whether gazing out a glass wall of windows from the living room, or simply floating away in a world-class infinity edge pool, Singapore has never looked so good.
