Refin took home the overall top prize. The space, designed by Bolognese architect Mario Cermasi, stressed the eco-responsible characteristics of Refin’s porcelain tiles, which feature 40% recycled content. Cermasi created an open environment defined by wall panels comprised of pressed wood chips with tile insets forming a bold geometric pattern. Other natural materials, including simple ottoman seating constructed of cardboard and a centerpiece artwork of bamboo shoots, were also incorporated.
Also taking home an award was Inalco, who brought a home environment feel to its space, showcasing several distinctive new products including “Class” and "Ginza."
