Expo Build China 2009, held recently at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center, closed with “success in spite of the global economy crisis,” according to the show’s organizers. More than 30,000 visitors from 110 countries visited the four-day event, concurrently held with the Hotelex Shanghai and China Clean exhibitions.

Visitors to the event included contractors, real estate developers, hotel developers, bar/restaurant owners, and architects/interior designers looking for the latest trends and product innovations, as well as comprehensive and premium design solutions. Among the more than 400 exhibitors were: Inalco, Azulev, Graniti Fiandre, Sicis, Marca Corona, Panaria, Elios, NovaBell, Capri, Cerasarda, Cercom, Cir, Wintop, Champion, Leica, and more.

Forums and conference programs were also well attended, say organizers, as attendees learned more about green building, design needs, and architectural topics. Additionally, as green-building solutions have become increasingly important to China’s Central Government, Expo Build said it will open a new section during the 2010 show to address the demand for environmentally safe building materials and practices.

An Expo Build “Activity Guide” will be published in March 2010 for ongoing events covering these topics.
