Are you ready to be inspired?
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”
Touted as the largest U.S.-based assemblage of ceramic and stone tiles and their respective accessories, products, and equipment, Coverings 2010 and Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center in Florida are eager to host more than 1,000 global exhibitors and thousands of domestic and international visitors April 27-30. With more than 70 free educational seminars and demonstrations lined-up over the four-day event, many of which are eligible for CEU units, it’s easy to see why the show’s appeal extends to many.
This year’s edition enjoys the launch of several new programs, including: Coverings Select, which recognizes outstanding new tile and stone products; Project: Green; Installation/Design Showcase; the Regional Distributor Pavilion; and various opportunities for obtaining certifications (such as the Ceramic Tile Education Foundation’s Certified Tile Installer program).
Drawing attention to the global creativity and manufacturing processes of tile and stone products, Coverings will also showcase several countries within pavilions, including Brazil, China, Egypt, Italy, Spain, and Turkey.
As we did in 2009, daily show coverage can be seen at Coverings Insider (www.coveringsinsider.com), the Website featuring the “inside info” on what to do and see, late-breaking news, photos, events, schedules, products, videos and more. If you’ve registered for Coverings 2010, then you’ll receive an enewsletter announcing the site’s official launch, so look for it in your inbox. I’ll also be tweeting live from the show floor, so make sure you’re following @TileMagazineon Twitter.
Lastly, with this issue ofTILE, you’ll notice a new Green Matters section, in print and online at www.tilemagonline.com, where all things Green will be showcased. We’ll be dedicating several pages to environmentally friendly tile products, installation products, case studies and features where new ideas and techniques will serve to inspire the masses. I welcome your contributions in making this section successful.
If you’ll be attending Coverings, make sure to stop by our booth (Booth #3806). I hope to see you there!
