Artistic Tile’s founder and CEO Nancy Epstein announced the opening of an Architectural & Design studio in San Francisco to “meet the design community’s increasing demand for her to have a presence on the West Coast.” The studio is located in Showplace East at 111 Rhode Island Street, Suite 15, in the heart of the Northern California Design District.
According to Lauren Cherkas,
Artistic Tile’s president, "Artistic Tile is honored to join the
collection of luxury companies in San Francisco providing tile and stone to the
trade and consumers. Our unique ability to deliver custom sizes, patterns, and
finishes in a timely manner as well as offering an enormous breadth of product
will be a fresh surprise to architects, designers, and homeowners alike who
have become accustomed to lengthy lead times in our industry."
The new A&D Studio is a 1,300
square foot design library. The extensive samples of Artistic Tile's more than
2,500 stocked products in stone, glass, ceramic, and metal enable an
interactive design process.
Artistic Tile’s goal is to
consistently exceed the expectations of their clients. Cherkas declares, "We
train our staff that we are not in the tile business, that instead we are
solutions providers. We are committed to surpassing a client’s expectations at
every level of our business. The process of buying tile should be as rewarding
as the finished project. Luxury doesn’t just refer to the quality and value of
our products, it is a reflection of our brand, and most importantly, luxury is
the overall experience that designers and architects have come to know at
To insure this philosophy is
personified in the new A&D Studio, Cherkas hired California native Pam Katz
as manager and West Coast brand ambassador. With more than 12 years at Country
Floors and two years at Blackman Cruz, Katz has vast tile design knowledge and
experience gained through regular collaboration with architects and designers
on high-end residential and commercial projects.
Katz says she appreciates the
inspiration behind each one of the products in Artistic Tile’s extensive
offerings. "They are unique, innovative, and reflective of Nancy Epstein’s
vision and global perspective. I’m confident the showroom will become the new
design destination very quickly."
By appointment only, the A&D
Studio is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
