Italians set to display latest ceramic technology in China
Air Power, BMR, CMF Technology, Colorobbia/Industrie Bitossi, Comaf, ESA Pyronics, Sacmi, Siti-B&T, SRS and System will occupy an exhibition space of 1,000 square meters in the Italian pavilion organized by the Italian Trade Commission ICE and Acimac.
For the second year, the pavilion will host “Piazza Italia,” a multifunctional space showcasing Italian technology accompanied by a range of finished products manufactured using the latest cutting-edge processes.
Ceramic tile production in Asia is growing steadily, according to the initial estimates of the Acimac Studies Center, which points to a small increase in output in 2009 to 5.25 million sq.m. More than 50% of this is produced in China.
Further, according to Acimac figures, Chinese production totalled around 3.5 billion sq.m in 2009. Other sources suggest that Chinese output has already reached 6.7 billion sq.m with 21.6% growth on 2008.
