Visnic named NAHB Custom Home Builder of the Year
The NAHB Custom Home Builder of the Year Award, sponsored by the Propane Education and Research Council, recognizes the professional achievement of one builder each year who creates exceptional and innovative custom homes, exhibits a high level of customer service and demonstrates impactful leadership and dedication within their company, the industry and local community.
"Visnic Homes is not only an inspiration to the building industry, but a testament to the notion that builders do much more than just build beautiful homes," said Ernie Platt, director of local government affairs for the HBA of Metro Portland and 2011 Custom Home Builder Committee Chair. "Visnic Homes creates outstanding projects and design concepts coupled with a high standard of customer service and community outreach that helps to build lives."
Based in Rockville, Md., Visnic Homes has been in business more than 21 years and services the Washington, D.C. area, featuring custom projects in prestigious communities such as Kenwood, Chevy Chase and Avenel.
Visnic Homes offers its own warranty policy, in addition to the required warranty services, and provides clients with a dedicated account manager to walk them through each step of the custom building process. The company also maintains active relationships with local leading architects to provide options for a variety of designs and techniques. From hanging an airplane in a library to duplicating a Georgetown street scene in a basement, the company strives to do whatever it takes to meet the customer's vision and lifestyle needs.
For a number of years Visnic Homes has also supported young athletes through encouragement, coaching and by providing funding for rebuilding local high school baseball fields.
"This award is truly the product of a team effort," said Visnic. "I share this award with our incredible staff, the talented architects and craftsmen we work with, and most of all, our family of clients who pledge their confidence in us."
Visnic is a charter member of the original Builder 20 Club and has been a significant leader within the group for more than 17 years and has served on the NAHB Custom Home Builders Committee.
