The Tile Contractors' Association of America (TCAA) has recognized five outstanding projects in both Commercial and Residential tile installations. The winners will be honored during the association's upcoming annual convention in San Diego, CA.



On October 17, Tile Contractors’ Association of America (TCAA) will honor outstanding projects in both Commercial and Residential tile installations. The awards will be presented during TCAA’s 103rd annual convention in San Diego, CA. The Project of the Year winners are:

Commercial Category
1st Place was awarded to De Anza Tile Co., Inc. (Palo Alto, CA) for its Brocade Corporate Campus (San Jose, CA) project. Project architect was Robin McDonald of RMW, San Francisco, CA.



Commercial Category
2nd Place was awarded to Lippert Tile Company (Menomonee Falls, WI) for its Potawatomi Bingo Casino (Milwaukee, WI) project. Project architect was Hnedack Bobo Group of Memphis, TN.



Residential Category
1st Place was awarded to Selectile of California (Monrovia, CA) for its Skyline-Lake Towers (Santa Ana, CA) project. Project architect was Perkins & Co. of San Diego, CA.



Residential Category
2nd Place was awarded to Port Morris Tile & Marble Corp. (Bronx, NY) for its Tower III-The Continental (New York, NY) project. Project architect was Karen Asprea (GHWA) of New York.



Technical Merit was awarded to Port Morris Tile & Marble Corp. (Bronx, NY) for work on Citifield located in Queens, NY. Project architect was HOK Sport of Kansas City, MO.



Projects completed in 2009 or 2010 were eligible for the awards. Projects were reviewed by an independent panel of judges and ranked on the basis of technical and artistic achievement.
