“One of our top priorities for 2014 is to strengthen Cevisama as the major showcase for European ceramic products — a showcase featuring the quality and innovation of cutting-edge companies and worldwide leaders,” said Exhibition Director Carmen Alvarez. “That’s why we want to bring in Italian products. We know manufacturers from our Mediterranean neighbor could find great business opportunities at Cevisama, and the chance to get a toehold in markets where we’re already consolidating our position, like Russia, the Maghreb and the Middle East.”
As of press time, the fair had signed up exhibitors covering 90% of the show floor. “In the last edition, we had the second best record in the number of international visitors, with 12,323 professionals from 139 countries. Our goal is to continue this way.”
Visitors will not be disappointed as they walk the large exhibition halls viewing the latest collections of ceramic, porcelain and glass tile. From iridescent mosaics to large-formats to innovations in the technology, displays will create visual stimulation and interest. Additionally, since 2014 is an even year, Cevisama will also include an area featuring machines and technology. This year’s event is expected to include 35 exhibitors of the leading machinery manufacturers for the ceramic industry.
Cevisama hopes to grow by bringing in visitors from emerging countries, but it has no intention of ignoring its traditional markets, like the European Union countries, reports Alvarez. “In short, our goal is to make the show even more international by expanding what we have to offer and enticing new high-quality buyers in to see the wares,” he said.
The 2014 edition of Cevisama will be held in conjunction with Habitat Fair Valencia and Fimma - Maderalia. Together the events will make up an event called “See You at Valencia 2014.” “We have a very exciting edition, which shares synergies with events like Habitat Fair Valencia and FIMMA Maderalia,” said Alvarez. “The four exhibitions will be part of the initiative ‘See You at Valencia’ to form a key international event for all sectors involved. It is an opportunity for our exhibitors to expand their buyer profile professionally. While they visit, they will have the chance to see the largest showcase in Spain around interior architecture and design.”
“See you in Valencia 2014” will also incorporate in its schedule various activities held under these fairs, such as the Forum for Architecture and Design, a space for reflection and dialogue that in recent years has brought international designers, architects and interior designers together at Feria Valencia by discussing new spaces, design, materials and current ways of living.”
