Today, the second day of Cersaie 2014, was yet again packed full of international visitors and exhibitors. It also was the debut of Cersaie's first ever interactive exhibit known as "Cer-Sea," an Italian style beach concept involving furnishings, which drew in a large crowd.

While TILE was there, we also noticed some new trends being introduced and further developed in the industry -- such as textured and non-textured decorative tiles,  pop art-inspired tiles and wood and stone-inspired tiles -- at many different companies including Refin Ceramiche, Tagina Ceramiche and Del Conca. An assortment of other companies had wide selections of other types of tiles on display, which feature new technology and technical features, and will soon be available for use in the U.S

Overall, it was a successful second day. Tonight, TILE will be attending the Fincibec Tile Award and Dinner Reception, which will take place at the Biblioteca Salaborsa off of Piazza Maggiore, an ancient library with archaeological ruins. Make sure to check back in with TILE tomorrow to see how the third day of the show went, and learn about any new trends and products that you may soon see in the U.S. market.
