The four-day show, which is expected to draw in thousands of floor covering retailers, distributors, installers, architects, designers and builders from around the world, will offer an array of networking and educational opportunities, as well as live, expert-led demonstrations, hands-on training, numerous seminars and workshops, and mini-sessions in subject-specific tracks.
Each aspect of the show has something to offer for the floor covering, tile and stone professional. Surfaces will cover the latest in the floor covering and surfacing industry, incorporating several international pavilions on the show floor to demonstrate the reach and ever increasing importance of the show across the world; while StoneExpo/Marmomacc Americas will feature the newest and most innovative products in the natural stone industry; and TileExpo, which launched last year in conjunction with Surfaces and StoneExpo/Marmomacc Americas as a new tradeshow for the tile industry, will showcase a wide variety of the world’s most innovative, trend-setting and distinctive tile products.
The 2015 edition of The International Surface Event (TISE) will be held from January 21 to 23 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV, with the education program beginning on January 20.
With hundreds of thousands of square feet of exhibit space, there will be a lot to explore at TISE this year. Among the many show features is the Social Media Lounge, a designated area where social media experts will host a variety of short education sessions.
Also featured will be the Cleaning and Restoration Pavilion, a specialized area to showcase exhibitors who supply the floor covering industry with the latest tools, techniques and technologies, as well as live demonstrations; and the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) Hardwood Flooring Pavilion, an area dedicated to displaying new hardwood flooring products and networking among current and prospective NWFA members.
The Tool Alley, back by popular demand and sponsored by Floor Covering Installer and TILE Magazine, will feature companies’ latest in tools, as well as technology and techniques. Also returning to the show floor this year is the Product Marketplace — sponsored by TILE Magazine and four of its BNP Media sister publications — which gives attendees the opportunity to browse through some of the hottest products and then go visit the manufacturer or supplier in their booth to get more information.
Another show feature includes Artisan Avenue, Surfaces’ specialty product pavilion, which features products used above the baseboard, such as countertops, wall coverings, window coverings, decorative concrete, hand-crafted tile, sinks, cabinets and many other products consumers are looking for when remodeling a kitchen, bath or giving any room a facelift.
In addition to the show features, TISE is also hosting a Best of Awards program, sponsored by Floor Covering News, Stone World and TILE Magazine. All exhibiting companies may submit a new product, program, service, business practice or booth design that was introduced after TISE 2014 or making its debut at TISE 2015, free of charge, and a winner will be selected from each show and awarded.
