Located in the diplomatic zone of Gulshan, in the center of the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka, is an elegant five-story building, surrounded by an exotic garden. In this modern and bright villa, Sicis was chosen to design and realize the indoor and outdoor spaces.
It was an ambitious and challenging project for the architects of the Italian Maison for which they have put in synergy the interpretative skills of the various business divisions united by common values, high quality and attention to the choice of materials and in the production processes.
The space was conceived down to the smallest detail to make the entire home a treasure trove of beauty. From the entrance room to the bedrooms, you’ll find mosaics of high artistic value, complemented by eternal paintings with a refined abstract patterns. These are matched with floors in new materials, such as Vetrite, beside marbles and other mosaics.
The furnishings and lights -- a result of high handcrafts mixed with innovative solutions and tailor-made finishes -- embellish the already exclusive rooms. Moreover, the sophisticated fabrics of Sicis collections, both for furnishings and accessories, create a sort of leitmotiv in the overall vision.
Some of the iconic chairs -- emulating oversized lips, butterflies, roses and other unique elements -- capture the attention and enhance the harmoniousness of the different living rooms, of the entrance and the rooms connected to the bedrooms. These unique pieces are accompanied by Lacroix collections, Visconti, Palladio and some others.
The main dining room has a rectangular metal table with a Vetrite top and several chairs decorated with large roses in soft velvets, combined with an artistic mosaic "art couture" that dominates the scene. In a second living room, a more intimate setting is created with an octagonal table with a metal base and gold mosaic and Vetrite top, with a black Vetrite boiserie.
In the bedrooms, each element from the curtains to the furniture and the bed linens, have been developed in a coordinated way to create a comfortable and refined space.
The bathrooms of the house have been thought to be luxurious wellness environments that guarantee a maximum comfort. Large flowers in artistic mosaics and leaves of a stylized willow adorn some surfaces, as paintings with Vetrite worked on geometric patterns of extraordinary visual impact.
Unfailing in this exclusive residence is the outdoor swimming pool on the fourth floor, made of iridescent mosaic tiles that perfectly matches the color of the wood chosen to complete the surrounding floor.
No less important is the ornamental swimming pool on the ground floor that surrounds the outside of the living room decorated with glass paste tiles from one of the countless Sicis collections.
Last but not least, the details such as door handles created in minute gold or silver mosaic, mirrors and many other meticulously designed elements to complete this unique structure of its kind.
