MORENO VALLEY, CA -- iQ Power Tools, manufacturer of premium power tools with integrated dust collection systems, recently introduced the iQ426 HEPA Dust Extraction Vacuum -- a complete revolution for the construction industry.

Engineered to meet OSHA’s silica dust requirements for working in construction applications, what makes the IQ 426 HEPA truly unique is the airflow tuned cyclone technology. Less than 1% of the dust ever reaches the filter, which means vacuum maintains optimum performance.

The IQ 426 HEPA has four stages of filtration:

  • First stage: large cyclone captures larger particle sizes
  • Second stage: small cyclones captures medium- to small-sized particles
  • Third stage: filtration system captures the tiniest particles
  • Fourth and final stage: HEPA

These first two stages utilize cyclonic filtration, which pull and capture different sized particles from the airstream, keeping them from reaching the final two stages. Less than 1% of the dust ever reaches the filter which means vacuum maintains optimum performance.

The iQ426HEPA utilizes iQ’s Power Management System, offering the ability to control amp draw automatically. In addition to the auto-start feature, the iQ Smart power management system automatically balances power between the power tool receptacle and the vacuum maintaining optimum tool and dust collection performance. This minimizes tripped circuit breakers and maximizes work performance. For better clarification, if an attached power tool is pulling more amps, the vacuum slows down, allowing more power to be directed to that power tool.

The iQ 426 HEPA uses a certified HEPA filter capturing 99.97% of dust at .3 µm. This filter has been designed and tested to meet and exceed the global standards for dust extraction machines. The iQ 426 features a 10-gallon or 50-pound dust containment tub with an optional dust containment bag system, making dust disposal is easy, efficient and safe.

The iQ 426 HEPA comes complete with a full array of nozzle accessories and a heavy duty cart, which provides protection and durability while maximizing job site portability. The unit boasts a 190 CFM making it OSHA-compliant to be used with a 7-inch grinder, and a water lift up to 100 inches. Other features include a 14-foot anti-static hose, with simple but effective hose storage and a weight of only 60 pounds.

Just recently, the iQ 426 HEPA, received an award for the 7th Annual Pro Tool Innovation Awards (PTIA). The PTIA program recognizes those tools, which provide excellent value, advanced features and the newest innovations. The awards are judged by professional tradesman, including general contractors, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, MRO professionals and woodworkers, as well as the staff of some of iQ’s partnering media professionals who specialize in construction-related tools.
