LEXINGTON, KY -- Florida Tile recently introduced Modtique HDP. This porcelain tile beautifully displays a fusion of modern and antique influences. The careful balance of old and new creates a feel of something that has evolved over time. It gives any space a unique narrative.

“The inspiration for Modtique HDP came from a stone found in an ancient church. When you look at the face of the tile, it tells a story rich in history,” said Tressa Samdal, director of marketing and product management at Florida Tile. “We took that rich, historied look and transformed it with modern colors.”

Four color choices were carefully developed: Loft, Chateau, Salon and Estate. Loft combines warm grays with delicate undertones of taupe. Chateau strikes a balance between both warm and cool taupes. Salon blends deep charcoal with a velvety, antiqued surface. Estate is the tour de force with its dramatic, multi-color design featuring light grays, taupe, beige and deep blacks. Some colors are available with a geometric deco to add even more visual interest.

Modtique HDP is available in four sizes: 12 x 24, 24 x 24, 8 x 48 and 24 x 48 inches. It features three mosaic choices, including a classic 25-piece, a random stack and a modern 30-piece circle mosaic that is a fresh take on the penny round with a waterjet cut 2 1/2-inch circle size.

Manufactured using proprietary HDP -- High Definition Porcelain® printing technology -- and with the technical performance of porcelain, the Modtique HDP collection is appropriate for all residential and commercial wall, countertop, backsplash and floor applications. It meets the DCOF AcuTest® requirements to be installed in wet areas and is Greenguard® and Porcelain Tile certified. Incorporated into the tile surface is Microban® antimicrobial technology that works continuously to inhibit bacteria growth, improve visible cleanliness and reduce odors.
