2020 Starnet Annual Meeting Cancelled
CARLSBAD, CA -- Mark Bischoff, president and CEO of Starnet Worldwide Commercial Flooring Partnership, announced today that the 2020 Starnet Annual Meeting has been cancelled.
His statement read:
“The Starnet Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Starnet Annual Meeting that was scheduled for May 14 to 17, 2020. The Florida Governor declared a state of emergency, the most recent recommendation from the United States Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and some changes in corporate travel recommendations for our manufacturing partners made this decision unavoidable. Hopefully, we will look back on this as an unfortunate and unnecessary disruption to tradition.
Starnet remains committed to helping our Preferred Vendor Partners and Service Providers adjust to have a successful 2020. The staff will refocus our effort on dealing with the current situation through member best practice sharing as well as assisting our manufacturing and service partners complete their 2020 strategic plans.
The Board is currently looking at options for the co-op regarding meetings for the balance of 2020, with a special focus on creative ways to enhance member/vendor development and engagement. The Starnet Fall Meeting in Louisville, KY, from October 9 to 11, 2020 is scheduled, and we hope to see everyone there.
No one could have predicted the circumstances we face. Above all, the Starnet Board of Directors and staff want our Starnet family to focus on staying healthy during these trying times.
This too shall pass. Our entrepreneurial cooperative will continue to find new ways to help our partners succeed and flourish after difficult challenges in the marketplace. We will help the members and the Starnet Preferred Partners take advantage of the opportunities that will inevitably come after this short-term uncertainty.
Starnet will handle all hotel reservation cancellations directly with the hotel, therefore, no action is required on your part regarding hotel reservations. However, if you have booked airline travel and/or secured a rental car for travel associated with the meeting in Amelia Island, please take care of the required cancellations of those arrangements on your own.
If you have specific questions regarding your reservation, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will respond to your questions.”
