A major event in the autumn design calendar, Elle Decor Grand Hotel, based on an idea by Elle Decor, is dedicated to the themes of contract - hospitality and interior design.
For the first time, the program for this edition is 100% digital: IperHotel, by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba, which will be showcased online from November 26, 2020, to February 7, 2021, virtually housed in the interiors of Palazzo Morando as tradition demands.
Designed with the pandemic at its height, IperHotel reflects a blend of freedom and rigor in the architects’ design approach, as they were able to try out new ideas in the hotel and hospitality sector in view of the digital nature of the event. The entire project gives due consideration to social distancing and the need to ensure safety and contact between people.
Public and private areas intersect in a new spatiality, a mix of indoor and outdoor, where the lines of separation are only lightly drawn, enabling interaction with others, even if only visually. The distinctive feature of the project is socialization: serving as a hypertextual link in the world of the web, during its online lifetime IperHotel will offer a rich schedule of digital experiences and appointments -- from live events involving music, art and books through to shopping.
Ludovica+Roberto Palomba chose the large stoneware slabs of the Grande collection by Marazzi in a variety of finishes for the reception desk of the Hall, the three lounges (music, reading and art), the restaurant and the suite. The Spa & Wellness area, on the other hand, was covered throughout, on floor and walls, with the warm, bright shades of Carácter, the first Marazzi collection produced using the Puro Marazzi Antibacterial technology, which eliminates up to 99% of bacteria and other harmful microorganisms.
