The outdoor collections of Ceramiche Refin include Block and Mold, as well as two stone-inspired lines, Pietra di Cembra and Risseu.
Concrete is a flexible material, which is born without a proper structure and which allows unlimited possibilities of shape, passing from a uniform finish to an irregular one with heterogeneous aesthetical outcomes. A careful investigation into the many characteristics of this material is the leitmotif of the Block and Mold collections.
Block draws inspiration from concrete in the form that aesthetically comes closest to the natural elements that make it up: stone, clay and lime. Gravel and stones of different sizes appear on the surface, as if enveloped by concrete in a semi-liquid state. Proposed in Mist White and in three shades of gray, Cinder, Iron and Nickel, Block is available in six sizes (120 x 120, 60 x 120, 75 x 150, 75 x 75, 60 x 60 and 30 x 60 cm), both in natural finish and in soft finish.
Mold originates from the memories of the hand-mixing of skilled carpenters and artisans who used their tools to mix concrete with crushed stone of various sizes. The collection is characterized by agglomerates of gravel of heterogeneous shapes scattered in an irregular way, which reminds the casting of fresh concrete in the formworks or in the molds, spaces in which the cementitious material is shaped until it has its own form. Mold is available in the five colors - - Mist (white), Cinder (light gray), Nickel (mud gray) and Iron (dark gray) -- and is available in six sizes (120 x 120, 60 x 120, 75 x 150, 75 x 75, 60 x 60 and 30 x 60 cm), also with soft finish.
Pietra di Cembra
Porphyry effect instead for the Pietra di Cembra series, proposed in the variant for outdoor applications in three colors -- Grigio (gray), Naturale (natural) and Ruggine (rust) -- and two formats: 90 x 90 and 45 x 90 cm. The range is completed by arch- and peacock tail-effect decorative tiles that recreate the appearance and sober timeless elegance of natural porphyry with the functional advantages of stoneware.
Risseu is a collection of porcelain stoneware tiles inspired by the typical cobbled floors that traditionally decorate the paving of churchyards and urban gardens in the city of Genoa in Italy. The three-dimensionality, already evident as a graphic effect, is further accentuated by the perfect combination with the slight relief structure, which recreates the real effect of pebbles on the surface.
