GLEN ELLYN, IL – On Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 11 a.m. (central time), Jim Whitfield FCSI, CCPR, LEED AP | director, technical services at Mapei, will share his expertise on exterior tile installations via a webinar by the Ceramic Tile Distributors Association (CTDA). Exterior tile installations have increased substantially due to the large-format tile options. Whitfield will discuss industry standards and guidelines regarding exterior tile installations. Participants will be shown how to plan for a successful installation. They will learn necessary requirements for movement joints, percent of mortar coverage and building code requirements. Participants will also gain a good understanding on how to select proper materials for the job while taking environmental conditions into consideration.
