JACKSON, MS – The National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) will offer a free webinar, Concrete Moisture and How it Impacts Floor Covering Installation, on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 1 p.m. (CDT).
According to NTCA, most floor coverings will fail when exposed to excessive moisture vapor migration through a concrete slab. Addressing concrete floor moisture begins with the proper design, curing, drying and surface preparation of the concrete. Several tests and instruments have been accepted to evaluate concrete floor moisture issues. Armed with these test results and knowledge of the moisture source, the selection of a moisture mitigation strategy can be made. Topics covered in the webinar include:
- Understand that concrete moisture contributes to floor covering damage.
- Identify best practices for limiting high moisture levels in concrete floors
- Learn current moisture testing methods for concrete
- How to select moisture mitigation methods and materials.

He has 30 years of experience with tile, stone and concrete flooring design, installation and remediation.
