Although many of us thought this pandemic would be long gone by now, it has now become a matter of adapting to the changes. Over the last six months, countless businesses have been affected and we are now starting to really feel it. The new normal isn’t exactly desirable, but we are all just trying to cope and move forward.
While it’s currently summertime, it sure doesn’t feel like it. During a time when we’re supposed to be celebrating our country and freedom, most places are still closed to the public. Beaches are limited, parks aren’t operating under normal circumstances and other outdoor areas just aren’t the same.
As states begin to phase out of shelter-in-place orders and businesses begin to reopen, a lot of people are still hesitant to do things that seemed second nature before this pandemic happened. Life as we know it has seemingly changed, for now at least.
In this edition, we sat down with Anthony Jung, president of Jung Tile Services, Inc. in Victoria, TX, who is a CTI with the CTEF’s CTI program. As an active member of NTCA, Jung serves on the Methods & Standards Committee and is a NTCA Five-Star Contractor.
In this edition, we sat down with Lee Callewaert, co-owner and senior craftsman of Dragonfly Tile & Stone Works, Inc. in Grafton, WI. Callewaert was recently awarded the first-ever Tile Setter Craftsperson of the Year Award from the NTCA, which was created in 2019 as a lifetime achievement award for tile setters.
Everyone is always on the go. Nothing is truer here in New Jersey, where it feels like you can’t even stop for a second to breathe without getting yelled at, bumped into or honked at. No matter where you are, people are always trying to get somewhere as quickly and as pain-free as possible — that one thing is evident.
Happy New Year, everyone! It’s officially 2020. Can you believe it’s been one entire century since women have been able to vote? What a better way to kick off the year than with that celebratory news, am I right, ladies!?
Another year has seemingly flew by and I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way. I can’t believe we’re already wrapping up 2019. Sometimes I wish time would just slow down, but I’m also eager to see what new things 2020 has in store.
