Members of the local chapter of heating technicians, combined with tile-setting artisans, visited the Unicera exhibition Thursday to congratulate organizers on the show’s 21-year run.


Betebe, which manufactures its own line of glass mosaic tiles, also distributes Italian mosaic tile’s manufactured by Bisazza.

The second day of Unicera’s 21st International Ceramic and Bathroom Fair in Istanbul, Turkey, saw an increased amount of visitors, including design students from nearby universities, as well as dozens of union members from the Istanbul chapter of heating technicians and tile setters.

Dr. H. Ibrahim Bodur (center, seated), founding ceo and chairman of the board for Kale Group, is held in high regard within the Turkish ceramic tile industry for his efforts in industrialization and global export. His daughter, Zeynep Bodur Okyay, now leads the Kale Group on a day-to-day basis.

With an estimated 40,000 visitors attending the five-day show, exhibitors expressed brought forth a broad variety of ceramic, porcelain and glass tile designs, aiming at both the domestic and international markets.

Unicera 2010 will be held in the same location during the month of April (dates will be announced shortly).
