Centro is a traditional restaurant located in Rome, Italy, which was designed by local architectural firm, RPM Proget. Referred to as a “grocery store with a kitchen,” RPM chose Ceramica Senio wall tiles to create a retro ambiance.
“It is characterized by wide original spaces, where inside there is a room with annexed table football,” the architects explained. “The counters of Tuscan origin have a local space patinato from the time, and are enriched with Carrara marble tops.”
As evidenced by the furniture, the style of the restaurant is inspired by the 60s, as well as the ceramic tile covering with its lived-in look. The wall tiles are characterized by an aged effect and shaded brick look, which is the result of a particular research blending four white shades and five red tones with a high gloss glaze, which reproduces the roughness of the aged brick on the surface of each piece.
