Tamara Froud from Catford in London, a prominent mosaic artist, teamed up with a Liverpool-based tile adhesives company to create a bird-themed mosaic for DUCKS Kindergarten and Infants’ School at Dulwich College, a historic south London school. Now she's working on an expanded version of the original mosaic, adding three new birds. The mosaic, which was originally commissioned to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the kindergarten and infants’ section, combines exterior-grade ceramic tiles with red and white stones from the New Forest, and brightly colored opaque glass.
The Nanjing Suning Zhongshan International Golf Hotel is a European-style hotel in the style of an elegant manor. The city of Nanjing, known as the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties, has been enriched with new architectural projects intersecting between east and west. Inside the hotel, sophisticated chandeliers hang from golden ceilings and the walls are filled with artistic mosiacs by Sicis. Classic and other Art Deco details from the 1930s skillfully intersperse and combine with innovative elements and shapes.
