With Coverings, the preeminent showcase for ceramic tile and natural stone floor coverings, fast approaching, the show has announced two new sessions. On Wednesday, March 24th, Jay Esmay of Cold Spring Granite Company will host "Learn Manufacturing in a Countertop Shop," discussing how running a lean stone countertop shop will improve your bottom line. Attendees can learn how to reduce costs while maintaining high levels of quality, efficiency, and overall effectiveness. Esmay will share many modern day manufacturing/fabrication techniques that can be applied to even the smallest of shops.

On Friday, March 26th, Dan Louis of Laser Products will host "The A to Z Laser Seminar." This session will cover measuring and estimating; coordinating software; job conditions; floor prep; deflection; square and level; layouts; and selling with lasers.

From before the estimator walks in the door to after the job is installed, attendees will learn every aspect of what this new technology has to offer for not only tile and stone but for all floor-covering materials.

Coverings has also announced a change to another previously scheduled show; always a crowd pleaser, color specialist Leatrice Eiseman returns to Coverings on Thursday, March 25, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. to discuss "Color Trends: How Will They Change?" Eiseman, the principal of the Eiseman Center for Color Training and Education and the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, is the author of four books on color and is widely quoted in fashion, interior design and graphics publications.
