The Responsible Solutions to Mold Coalition (RSMC), a group of construction trade associations formed through a grant from USG Corp. and dedicated to educating the industry on mold control, recently reported that the link between moisture and mold problems is becoming common knowledge.
According to a recent Ducker Research poll, 92 percent of builders and contractors say they believe that moisture problems beget mold problems. Additionally, 64 percent said that mold was an important issue to consider in construction projects, with 43 percent ranking it the top issue.
"This research shows that moisture and mold control are of growing importance to the builders trade as well as homeowners," said Mike Poellinger, co-chair of the coalition.
