Anfacer, the Brazilian Association of Ceramic Tile Producers, together with Italo-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and ICE, Italian Institute for Foreign Trade, has organized a group of Brazilian manufacturers to visit Cersaie, and develop contacts with Italian producers and associations. Together with Acimac, the Italian Association of Machinery for the Ceramic Industry, they will present a conference program on "The Brazilian ceramic market," 1st October at Tecnargilla.

Pierluigi Ponzoni, Chairman of Acimac, opened the ceremony showing the important strength of the partnership between Italy and Brazil. Gianluigi Liberati, Director of Manufacturing Goods Department of ICE, and Edoardo Pollastri, Chairman of Italo-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry showed a comparison of both economies and the strong presence of Brazilian products in the key world markets of ceramic tiles. Pollastri pointed that Italy had failed in past years and should have a more effective presence regarding the trade of both countries.

Anselmo Boschi, from LARC the Laboratory of Ceramic Tiles from São Carlos University, showed the Brazilian methods for producing tiles and the huge problems the country has to overcome due to distance from raw materials, factories and markets.

After that, Giambattista Pedrini, Chairman of Acimac Technical Commission, talked about the Technological innovations of Italian companies. He was followed by Carlo Battelli, from General Noli from Brazil, whose speech was about logistic and custom problems. At the end Gabriele Ugolini - from Banca Popolare dell'Emilia Romagna, talked about how to obtain credit lines for the imports of ceramic goods from Italy.

This journey showed that Brazil is definitively among the most important players of the ceramic tile producers and buyers worldwide.
