EnviroGLAS recently completed the installation of recycled glass terrazzo flooring in the green luxury suite at the Dallas Cowboy’s Valley Ranch practice facility in Irving, TX.

The three-story suite, built by Green Star Builders of Dallas, features state-of-the-art green building attributes: a high efficiency ductless HVAC system, Low-E reflective glass windows, a standing seam metal roof, foam insulation, low VOC paint, tankless water heaters, CFL lighting and custom terrazzo floors made by EnviroGLAS.

According to the company, EnviroGLAS custom flooring is made from unique mixtures of recycled glass; including recycled beer bottles, car windshields and plate and stained glass windows. Additional aggregate options include reflective mirror, mother-of-pearl and recycled porcelain called EnviroMODE - made from pre-consumer recycled Kohler® toilets and sinks. Different aggregate combinations are mixed with a custom colored epoxy resin, and then poured by hand to create flooring applications.

Further, EnviroGLAS adds that its products have a lifecycle of more than 40 years and contribute to eight or more LEED credits.
