Ronald P. Cook and Robert W. Hart have been named managing partners of United Tile. The company distributes ceramic tile, stone, metal and glass products, as well as installation materials, through its four locations in Washington and Oregon.
Ken Wiedemann, United's Chairman, explained the announcement. "Ron, Bob and I have worked together as a management team for over 17 years. Ron has focused his attention on sales, marketing, customer and supplier relations. Bob has responsibility for finance, insurance, operations, information systems and human resources. As we consider succession planning and our future direction, this organization best reflects our responsibilities." Wiedemann remains Chairman of the Board and will continue to be active in the company. "We have been in business for over 40 years," he said. "The recession has had a significant impact on all aspects of construction. Bob and Ron are well qualified to address these challenges as well as the new opportunities we discover."
