Winner of the first edition of the Quinquennial Tile Award First edition (2005-2009) -

Title: Kempinski Residences and Suites - West Bay, Doha (Qatar).
Reason: the articulation of architectural volumes, the abundance in light and reflections, the variety of sizes and applications enhance the features of the ceramic product that, created with this vocation, boasts all its brightness in the large and perfectly square tiles.
Used materials: Naxos, series Marble Hill, colour Sculptur, sizes 32.5x97.7 – 32.5x32.5; band Black Hill 32.5x97.7; series Kilim, band Shahrazard 32.5x65.

The Quinquennial Tile Award, the international award developed by the Fincibec group, recently launched the second edition of the international architecture award by issuing a call for entries. Accepted projects include works made with Century, Naxos and Monocibec ceramic materials between 2007 and 2011.

Information on how to take part in the second edition of the Quinquennial Tile Award, application forms and the list of required documents are available and can be downloaded via the contest's official websitetileaward.org, where you will also find the contest's rules and regulations and information on the award.

The initiative, which Fincibec decided to continue following the great success of the first edition, involves all projects made between January 1 2007 and December 31 2011. The contest is open to works carried out in all building sectors: residential, public, industrial and commercial.
