When installing a pool in California's famous Pacific Palisades neighborhood, no ordinarypool will do the job -- especially for Angus Mitchell, son of the late founder of Paul Mitchell branded hair products. Jimmy Reed, President of Rock Solid Tile, Inc., custom designed the infinity spa and zero-edge main pool for the private estate, installed over 1,600 square feet of Bisazzaglass mosaictiles as the finished surface for the new signature exterior design element. With his own successful career in the family business in high-gear, "Angus M" needed a full-landscape makeover for the luxury property he shares with his wife. Angus M and his guests now enjoy the show stealing, glass mosaic tile overflow infinity spa and zero-edge pool that Reed meticulously designed and installed in a custom pattern from Bisazza.

"The workmanship by Jimmy [Reed] in the pool and spa is by far the best I've ever seen," said Angus M. "Day or night, but especially on night’s with a full moon, I gaze upon the pool and the craftsmanship of the tile work and think to myself -- it was worth every penny."

Reed, widely recognized as one of the top installers of glass mosaic tile water features in the U.S., earned this reputation by flawlessly completing one pool and spa project after another for an ever-growing list of Hollywood stars and A-list celebrities. For the Angus Mitchell project, Reed created the concept and design for the raised overflow infinity spa as well as the interior dimensions of the pool, including the steps, benches, and the plumb walls that provide perfect square transitions.

Interior Designer Johnna McHugh stepped outside to integrate the tile design of the water feature with her vision and color scheme for the rest of the large-scale remodeling project, selecting the Damasco Opale pattern from Bisazza in visually stunning black and blue 3/4 - x 3/4 -inch (20mm) glass mosaic tiles.
