Iowa Governor celebrates 25 years of waterjet innovation at Creative Edge
The governor of Iowa, Terry Branstad, visited Creative Edge Master Shop’s headquarters on June 20, 2014 in celebration of the company’s 25 years of waterjet
innovation. After a tour of the production facility, which includes 15 state-of-the-art waterjet machines, the governor addressed a large crowd of employees, vendors and community members.
Creative Edge President Jim Belilove introduced Gov. Branstad, thanking him for helping celebrate his firm's 25thanniversary year. "This company was born and nurtured in the fertile soil of Iowa’s entrepreneurial culture," he said. "We are independent, self- reliant and innovative, like so many of Iowa’s manufacturers."
The governor toured the Creative Edge factory, seeing "dedicated, highly skilled and hardworking Iowans, most of whom have been with the company 10, 15 and 20 years." Belilove added, "Together this team has pioneered a useful and beautiful new technology that is unique in the world. We are participating in your goal of increasing Iowa’s exports. We have posted a list of the countries outside of the U.S. where we have completed work including India, China, Taiwan, Australia, France, Ukraine, Ireland, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Canada, Japan, Oman, Nigeria and others."
