The largest global tile and stone exhibition in North America returned to Atlanta, GA, this year. For its 29th edition, the show was hosted at the Georgia World Congress Center from May 8 to 11, 2018, where it welcomed more than 1,100 exhibitors.
Below is just a glimpse of some new products TILE observed during the four-day event.
ABK
ABK has turned to the varied aesthetics of concrete for inspiration in the new Lab325 collection, offered in three different surfaces. Lab325 links the number 325, the code for the cement powder widely used to make concrete, with the concept of a laboratory as a melting pot of ideas and creative experimentation.

Gorgeous porcelain tiles and mosaics offer a world of choices in the new Floor collection. On-trend geometric shapes in Solid White, Bone or Black are complemented with ceramic dots available in six coordinating shades. The mix and match shapes and colors offer ease in creating a customized look.

Timberbrook captivates with the appeal of reclaimed barnwood that’s been given new life in a durable porcelain tile. A naturally distressed wood look is captured perfectly with richly blended colors on a unique plank size. The result is rustic elegance for a modern farmhouse design.

Kahakai™, meaning beach in Hawaiian, is a special order glass mosaic collection inspired by the shimmering colors of the beautiful sands and reflections of Hawaii. Its 10 color blends and four versatile patterns evoke a casual elegance and will bring warmth and a little shine to your home.
Bien Seramik
Zenith is a new porcelain tile collection prepared specifically for the U.S. market. The tiles in the collection are offered in a variety of sizes, including 6 x 36, 32 x 32, 24 x 48 inches, and a 16- x 46-inch format for walls.
Casalgrande Padana
Class Wood is a new wood-effect porcelain stoneware series with delicate and homogeneous colors. It creates a harmonious dialogue with the light and colors of the setting. The tiles are offered in a range of colors, and are resistant to impacts, abrasion, scratches, weather agents, fire, stains and chemicals.
Ceramica Bardelli
Palladiana is a collection of colored body, rectified, monocaliber porcelain tiles, designed for floors and walls. Available in four colors and two standard formats — 60 x 60 and 60 x 120 cm — the 10 1/2-mm-thick tiles incorporate six different designs. Three decorative options are also available.
Ceramiche Caesar
Project Evolution is a new porcelain stoneware series composed of extra-large slabs. The 120- x 240- and 120- x 120-cm panels encompass all types of industrialized looks, and are offered in an extended palette of 36 colors. Two additional formats, 160 x 320 and 160 x 160 cm, are also available.

Crossville, Inc.
Convergence offers the look of end-grain wood captured in jewel tones and cast in polished glass mosaics. The new wall line comes in eight vibrant colors. The 4- x 4-inch mosaics, mesh-mounted on 12- x 12-inch sheets, are suitable for interior wet or dry applications in commercial or residential settings.

The Eminent Woods porcelain collection emulates the extraordinary process of wood fossilization. The ancient wood-look finish is described as rich, vivid brushstrokes of color that contrast amid a white background. The collection is available in two detail-rich colors in glossy finishes, Eminent Brown and Eminent Gray.

The old-fashioned warmth of aged wooden floors is brought to life in Raft, the porcelain stoneware series. The new line is available in a 20- x 120-cm “board” option. It offers four warm shades that complement the typical timber veining and knots created in the tiles.

Castle is a new and original collection that catches the strong and defined character of the veins of an Indian marble. Contemporary colors interpret the nature of marble in an innovative way. The collection, available in natural and lappato finishes, is versatile and perfect to personalize residential and commercial spaces.

The new floor heating system, Strata_Heat, consists of the world’s first heat conductive thinset additive, an innovative high performance floor heating wire, an uncoupling mat and a Wi-Fi-enabled thermostat. In addition to minimizing floor heat up and cycle time, Strata_Heat features a smart-focused design that’s compatible with home automation devices.
Lunada Bay Tile
Shinju Mirai brings together unconnected elements in art and architecture to create refined, transformative designs. The Japanese-inspired collection of ceramic tiles comes in four patterns. Tiles measure 3 ½ x 9 ½ inches, are available in five colors, and can be used indoors and outdoors.

Acquerello is inspired by water painting, featuring the painter’s entire color palette on 30- x 30-cm tiles. Delicate hues — Ivory and Grey Blue — are blended on porcelain stoneware to give the material new delicacy. The collection is available in three sizes, with two additional decorative options.

Mapeguard WP 200 is a thin and flexible, two-sided, nonwoven, polypropylene fabric, used for both waterproofing and crack isolation under ceramic, porcelain and stone tiles. The laminated fabric webbing is designed to anchor the membrane to the substrate and tiles to the membrane using the bonded thinset method.

The 710 Dustless Premium Set Plus features new, innovative and patented Dustless Technology (DLT™) from ParexUSA. The premium grade thinset was designed for installing porcelain, ceramic and stone tile on walls or floors in commercial or residential applications. Its innovative Dustless Technology produces approximately 80% less dust than ordinary thinsets.
Mosaico+
Diamond is a new mosaic tile collection, inspired by the century-old, tin-plated glass mosaic windows found in cathedrals from the Middle Age to the Art Deco period. Diamond allows the mosaic to leave its tradition in favor of essential and elegant geometrical forms.

The Tuscan SeamClip TruSpace is an all-in-one tool, made in the U.S. that brings the tiles into alignment and set the grout spacing without the need for additional grout spacers. The clips hold the tiles in place until they are set, then easily snap off, leaving a level tile surface.
Profilitec
Floortec™ is a high-performance, durable uncoupling membrane. Its key features include round-shaped mortar columns for maximum load support; “lay-flat” technology to minimize curling; translucence to monitor thinset coverage; a textured surface for stronger thinset adhesion allowing chalk lines to “hold;” and a round-shaped surface configuration for better overall workability.
Progress Profiles
Proshower System is an integral shower drain system. Its low profile and modular drain, combined with interchangeable grids, make it a desirable solution. The Florida collection was inspired by a distinctive, natural wood look. It incorporates very sharp, modern lines and is available in four colors — Beige, Blue, Grey and White. Florida is offered in one standard size, 8 x 48 inches (20 x 120 cm), with alternative finishes.
Schluter-Systems
The new Schluter®-Kerdi-Board Kit was designed to build waterproof walls or an acrylic shower base. It includes eight pieces of 1/2-inch-thick Kerdi-Board, which are each 48 x 38 inches, two tubes of Kerdi-Fix, a 4 1/2-inch mixing valve seal, a 3/4-inch pipe seal and a 1/2-inch pipe seal.
Tau Ceramica
New 12-mm-thick 320- x 160-cm slabs round off the extensive Ascale range, with a wide choice of colors. The range includes monochrome models, two different-colored cement effects, two white marble looks, two marble looks with gold veins, a stone-effect, and a spectacular model emulating weathered steel.
USG Corp.
The new USG Durock® Brand Cement Board with EdgeGuard™ features wrapped edges which are formed smooth with a proprietary poly-propylene fabric and are square-cut. The backerboard’s reinforced proprietary edge reduces screw spinout and crumbling during installation, offering an improved, water-durable tile base for use in tub and shower area construction.
