Facing Lake Garda and set against the Alps, Hotel Bellariva is a high-end hotel designed by the Guerreschi Associati firm in Italy.
Entirely built according to green building criteria, the four-story hotel is a wooden structure that was completed in record time and built according to the most current sustainable building standards.
The structure combines part of an existing building with a new building entirely made of wood, designed to maximize the energy savings of the whole complex.
The designers chose various high-quality materials for the exterior and interior finishes, including several Marazzi ceramic and porcelain stoneware tile collections, selected for their sustainability, resistance and appearance, which resembles natural materials, particularly wood and stone.
For the high-traffic common areas throughout the building, Mystone Ardesia was selected. Cenere stone-effect stoneware was chosen, installed in a 75- x75-cm format together with darker listel tiles from the same collection; it is a technical porcelain stoneware that guarantees high performance and strong resistance to wear in very crowded environments such as public areas and hotels. The porcelain is Ecolabel-certified, the European Union ecological quality label that indicates materials characterized by a reduced environmental impact throughout their entire lifecycle.
Porcelain stoneware, in this case wood-effect tile, was also chosen for the floor coverings in the hotel rooms. Treverkhome by Marazzi is a perfect imitation of natural wood, which also evokes its tactile feeling, with considerably higher technical characteristics in terms of ease of maintenance and resistance.
The Treverkhome collection also boasts, like the SistemN stoneware chosen for the bathroom floor covering, Ecolabel certification.
All the hotel’s bathrooms feature SistemN technical stoneware in the “Tortora” color used for the floor covering and the Stone_Art stoneware collection in a large size with slimline thickness for the walls, which was also selected in the three-dimensional Move version to differentiate and characterize the shower area with a pleasant visual and tactile effect.
The outdoor terrace was covered in wood-effect tiles from the Treverkmade20 collection, an aesthetically beautiful and functional choice thanks to the anti-slip surface, which withstands the effects of the weather; the strong 20-mm thickness also makes the paving extremely resistant.
